4th in the NGRRC 1300cc Streetstock Championship 2005
Well it's finally all over. The 2005 season is done and dusted, and GTP Racing finished 4th in the NGRRC 1300cc Streetstock Championship. All the details are in the race reports, which are now 100% updated, and I can assure you, it wasn't a straightforward end to the year by any standards! Many thanks to all those who helped, hindered, donated, swore and all the other fun things that are necessary to keep a team running - it was a hell of a ride along the way!
What this does mean though, is it's also the end for GTP Racing - for now at least. Even with help from our sponsor, Linde Material Handling (UK) Ltd., we still managed to spend a huge amount of money, and this means that the team will be taking at least a year off whilst the debts are paid off. If anyone out there thinks this is terrible enough to pay for us to have another go, you know where to find us! We'll certainly still be showing our faces at NG race meetings, but they might be obscured by cameras, as Jon will be helping Dave to snap some more pictures for DNK Photos and propping up the bar at various motor racing circuits.
Many thanks to our sponsors, Linde Materials Handling (UK), for their support through the second half of the 2005 season. We hope you enjoyed the involvement with the team, and were glad to see the results keep improving after you joined us!
All the info on the old Moron Bros. Racing site still exists, and if you want to delve into the archives, you can access it here.
Please note that the race reports for the first half of this season were been carried over from the old Moron Bros. site, and the new team name and livery only appeared at the Pembrey round in July.
GTP Racing is proud to support the Miles Tripp Benevolent Fund. This was set up following the untimely death of our friend Miles during a Streetstock race at Pembrey in March 2005. The details of the bank account for the fund is accessible from the NGRRC website or you can buy "4 Milo" stickers shown below to stick on your bike / car / motorhome etc. etc. in the race office at North Glos meetings. All donations go towards the benevolent fund.
